Because medical treatments are improving, survival rates are increasing, and working lives are getting longer, more and more working people are living with illness.

Cancer and chronic illnesses are no longer simply health issues; they are also a societal challenge, affecting both our everyday lives and our working lives.

Illness has already entered the workplace. The challenge now is to better support it and embed it sustainably into companies’ social policies and management practices.
Faced with the growing number of working people affected by illness, business leaders and public-sector executives have no choice but to address this reality.
