Cancer@Work’s purpose
From social commitment to societal commitment
Cancer@Work, a business association committed to driving change in workplace practices

A demand from employees affected by illness and business leaders
They both share the same observation:
Living and working with cancer has become a reality, but society and businesses are not prepared for it.
A project brought to life by Anne-Sophie TUSZYNSKI...

Drawing on her professional experience and her personal journey following cancer in 2011, Anne-Sophie Tuszynski observed that the issue of illness and work was still largely overlooked by companies.
Determined to drive change in workplace practices, she brought together six pioneering companies and founded Cancer@Work in November 2012, the first business association dedicated to the inclusion of people affected by cancer or a chronic illness.
“Facing cancer gave me the courage to take action for a cause that truly matters to me: employment for people affected by illness.”

...supported by a business leader, Philippe SALLE.
As early as 2013, Anne-Sophie Tuszynski approached Philippe Salle, then CEO of the Altran Group, with a groundbreaking proposition: to make illness a genuine strategic issue for businesses, alongside Cancer@Work.
Convinced that companies can be powerful drivers of inclusion, Philippe Salle agreed to become Chairman of the association.
Today, as Chairman & CEO of the Atos Group, he continues to serve as Chairman of Cancer@Work, pursuing his commitment to changing workplace practices and mindsets.
